Abstract

434,106. Pneumatic power transmission. MONTGRAND, L. DE, Le Cabot par Ste. Marguerite, Marseilles, France. Nov. 24, 1933, No. 32925. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, June 9, 1934]. [Class 8 (ii)] A coupling device for connecting two shafts 1, 3 comprises aircompressing cylinders connected to one shaft 3, and pistons reciprocating therein connected to a crank on the other shaft 1. The internal resistance of the machine is automatically varied in accordance with the speed by means of a centrifugal regulator 6 which controls the outlet valves 4. A modification is described wherein the cylinders are arranged tangentially and pistons reciprocating oppositely thereon engage cranks on toothed wheels gearing with the interior of a casing.
