[Class 144 (i)] [See also Group XXII] A disc wheel having a rim 3 with a groove 2 to receive a detachable tyre-retaining flange, or a locking ring has a portion 5-6 located immediately under the groove of cylindrical, stepped, or conical form, as shown in Figs. 1, 2, and 4 respectively, to which surface the unflanged edge 1 of the disc 4 is directly welded.
