433,558. Floors; roofs; bridges. EVANS, O., 27, Chancery Lane, London.- (Vereinigte Stahlwerke Akt.-Ges. ; 67, Breitestrasse, D³sseldorf, Germany) Feb. 20, 1934, No. 5632. [Class 20 (iv)] Floors, bridges, roofs, and like structures consist of girder sections a, b, Figs. 1 and 3, which are so disposed that the neutral axis of each section is out of coincidence with the neutral axis of the structure, and the contiguous edges of the flanges of adjacent sections are rigidly secured together at positions d disposed at or near the ends of the sections. The rigid connection may be formed by welding, and, in addition, adjacent sections may be provided with interfitting tongues and grooves. For a construction as shown in Fig. 4, a welded connection i is necessary only near the free end of the construction.
