433,024. Two-stroke radial-cylinder engines. HUMBOLDT & DEUTZMOTOREN AKT.-GES., Deutz, Cologne, Germany. Feb. 7, 1935, Nos. 3985 and 3986. Convention dates, Feb. 7, 1934 and Feb. 12, 1934. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii)] [See also Group XXVIII] The crank case of a radial-cylinder engine has a flange h, projecting from its edge, which with a detachable cover forms a scavenging air chamber, the air passing through ports w in the flange h to the cylinders mounted on flat faces thereof. The joints l, m of the outer cover are in the same plane. The scavenging-air blower g and its delivery passage are fixed to the cylindrical edge x of the cover j in which substantially radiallyarranged driving plungers p of the fuel pumps n are mounted ; movement of a ring t mounted on rollers s rotates the plungers and regulates the pumps simultaneously. A centrifugal blower g forces cooling air through detachable casings z on to the cylinder.
