Abstract

468,644. Cylinders. FICHTEL & SACHS AKT.-GES. Jan. 23, 1936, No. 2162. Convention date, Jan. 23, 1935. Addition to 467,094. [Class 7 (ii)] The two-stroke engine described in the parent Specification is modified by arranging the passages behind the inlet ports to be directed to a point 15 on the cylinder axis below the inner surface of the cylinder head. Faces 12 on the piston deflect the scavenging streams along the cylinder walls when the ports are first uncovered by the piston, and single or opposed exhaust ports 11 are provided, as described in the parent Specification. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the omission of the faces 12. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
