Abstract

433,013. Portable electric drills &c. DESOUTTER BROS., Ltd.,and DESOUTTER, C., 73, Baker Street, London. Oct. 22, 1934, No. 30188. [Class 83 (iii)] [See also Group XXXV] A hand-applied electric motor-driven rotary tool device suitable for drilling has a single handle 21 projecting transversely at any desired angle to the axis of the motor into which extends, approximately along the length thereof, one of the motor brushes 24. The upper part of the casing 4 is used to house the yoke of a field magnet 5, Fig. 3, while reduction gearing is arranged at the forward end. A fan 34 on the armature shaft draws cooling air through a passageway 35 in the handle and exhausts it through apertures 36 in the casing.
