432,562. Rotary transformers. FEKETE, A. F., 43, Steglitzerstrasse, Berlin. Jan. 26, 1934, No. 2803. Addition to 406,275. [Class 35] The method of associating mesh connected condensers and transformer windings with both sides of a frequency changer for three to one phase conversion as claimed in the parent Specification is modified to enable it to be applied to frequency changers of other phase numbers and to phase converters which do not also change the frequency. In the form shown, meshes 10, 10<1> and 10<11> are connected in parallel to the four terminals 25 .. 28 of one side of a converter and the transformer windings 29 .. 32, which with the condensers 33 .. 36 constitute the meshes, are linked by cores 17, 17<1>, 17<11>, or a common core, to the windings 18, 18<1>, 18<11> star connected to the terminals 19 .. 21 on the three phase side of the machine. With three phase windings on both sides of the converter, there would be three similar limbs to each mesh, and the windings 18, 18<1>, 18<11> may alternatively be in series or parallel with the machine windings. In a modification for a single to six phase converter, two transformer primaries in parallel are connected in series with the single phase side and each is linked by a core with a mesh consisting of three condensers and three transformer secondaries, one mesh being connected to three terminals on the six pHase side and the other mesh to the other three terminals on the same side, or a single six limb mesh may be employed. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the mesh condensers and transformer windings are subdivided and one of the sections condenser 14, 15 or 16 and winding 11, 12 or 13 in each limb is connected directly or through an autotransformer 37, 38 or 39 in series with one of the phase terminals 22, 23 or 24.
