[Class 83 (i)] In centrifugal casting of pipes &c. an alloy of phosphorus with one or more metals is used to line the mould and thus produce a resistant skin on the casting. The alloy should preferably include some metal identical with that cast and may be applied as a powder spread by centrifugal force or by blowing. The material may include a binding material and other powdered materials such as ferrochromium, silica charcoal or graphite.
