Abstract
425,106. Packages. CHALMERS, J. W., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd., 2, Evelyn Street, Deptford, London. Aug. 1, 1933, No. 21634. [Class 94 (i)] In forming packages of granular and like substances, an inner container 1, of the block-ended type, and having a reinforcing member 2<a> of the type described in Specification 425,105, is enclosed in and folded up with an outer wrapper 2, Fig. 1. The blank is slit at 3, 4, and provided with lines 9 of adhesive. The panel a is applied to the bottom of the inner container, and the flaps 5 are folded up against the sides, after which the side folds 10, 11 are secured by the adhesive 9. The parts 6, 7 and the upstanding portions of the reinforcing member together with the corresponding parts of the inner wrapper, are folded down as shown in Fig. 3, causing the portions 12 to be folded into triangular tabs 13, 13a. A line of adhesive 14 is applied to the exposed folds, the parts 8a, 13a are folded down and secured by folding the parts 8, 13 upon them.
