Abstract

423,991. Heating air. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. Sept. 7, 1934, No. 25774. Convention date, June 22. [Class 64 (i)] Air is heated by passage through U-tubes 7 in contact with heating gases, each U-tube having a short limb opening into a hot air collecting chamber 8 and a long limb 71 passing through the chamber and in communication with the atmosphere. Fuel gases from a fire 2 pass through compartments 4, 5, 11 the tubes 7 being longer in the compartments further from the fire, and the fuel gases passing off to a chimney 10. A fan 14 draws heated air from the chamber 8.
