Abstract

277,247. VÚrel, J. T. R. April 19, 1927. Heating air. - An air heater comprises a chamber between two walls of which a series of tubes extend, each having two opposite sides of flattened form, the walls being apertured to correspond with the ends of the tubes, and a flue leading from a furnace. Either the hot gases or the air may pass through the tubes, the other gas passing outside the tubes in approximately stream line flow. The tubes 8 may be arranged with their long axes parallel or as shown in the Figure.
