Abstract
422,866. Valve circuits for wireless reception. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, and LINSELL, A. A., 43, West Hill, Sydenham, both in London. July 21, 1933, No. 20642. [Class 40 (v)] In a super-heterodyne receiver, a superregenerative stage precedes the frequency changing stage. In one embodiment, the quenching oscillations for the super-regenerative stage and the local oscillations for frequency changing are generated separately, Fig. 1, not shown. Preferably a single oscillator provides both the quenching and the local oscillations. The valve 1, Fig. 2, back coupled at 2, 3, is supplied over coupling 4 with quenching ing oscillations from a valve 6LO, whose grid is fed from an oscillator Q. The circuit 10, coupled to the output of valve 6LO and tuned to an harmonic of the quenching frequency, supplies the local oscillations over coupling 8<1> to the input of the frequency-changing circuit 11. The tuning elements in circuits 3, Q, 10, may be uni-controlled.
