Abstract
421,198. Magnetos. BOHLI, J., 15, Dammstrasse, and STEINER, G., 6, Schererstrasse, both in Solothurn, Switzerland. July 11, 1933, No. 19602. Addition to 413,716. [Class 35] Magnetos according to the parent Specification are modified by the use, in place of the two shar-shaped members, of radial extensions of the flux conducting bars, or by the use of such extensions in place of one star member and the replacement of the second star member by another one which has shorter arms and enables the shorter set of bars forming a feature of the invention in the parent Specification to be dispensed with. As shown in Fig. 3, three inverted U-shaped laminated bars n have their longer limbs guided in the housing q and arranged alternately with the axial portions of the laminated bars s which, with bars n convey the flux to and from the star-shaped magnet c. The shorter limbs of bars n and the longer portions of bars s form the core g for the coil d and the radial portions of the bars of both sets are guided by ribs on the coil flanges x, x<1> In a modified form, all the bars are L-shaped and their radial portions have rounded ends to fit the ends of a separate coil core. In the form shown in Fig. 5, a cylindrical laminated core g is connected at the top to the radial extensions of bars n, o, p and at the other end to a pile of three-armed laminĀµ s which are substantially co-planar with axial extensions c<1> ... c<6> of the magnet arms which also co-operate with the lower ends of the bars n, o, p. The invention is also applicable to inductor type magnetos.
