Abstract

420,394. Loading vehicles ; endlesschain conveyers. SUTHERLAND, D. G., 28, Cross Deep, Twickenham, Middlesex,. Aug. 2, 1933, No. 21720. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv)] [See also Group V] Sheet material from a board-making machine is conveyed into a rack consisting of a frame carrying a number of superimposed horizontal conveyers c<1> by a ribbed aluminium plate b that travels on to a conveyer in the rack and rests thereon while a stop i descends upon the plate at the rear of the sheet, so that when the plate reverses its travel, the sheet does not accompany it. The plate b is attached at its rear end to a cross-bar c fixed at its ends to parallel endless chains d. The rack is carried by a lift which is raised to bring each conveyer in turn opposite to the feeding conveyer. The conveyers in the rack are of similar construction to the feeding conveyer, and are geared together to discharge simultaneously into steam heated boxes in a press or into a drying oven.
