Abstract
419,993. Skein holders or swifts. BRITISH BEMBERG, Ltd., Hazel House, Milk Street, London. Jan. 3, 1934, No. 218. Convention date, April 27, 1933. [Class 120 (ii).] A yarn reel with adjustable sweeps has sweeps which are wide in a peripheral direction and provided with a plurality of elevations on which the yarn rests, the distance between the elevations being not more than double the depth thereof. The yam 12 rests on the corrugations 9. Instead of a corrugated surface, a series of ridges may be provided, or the surface may be composed of a series of parallel rods or bars in the form of a grid, the distance apart of which is not more than double the diameter of the rods. The yarn receiving surfaces may be coated with a smooth material, e.g. celluloid.
