Be it known that I, JOSEPH ERKES, a citizen of the United States, residing at 1104 Kenwyn Street, Frankford, Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part thereof.

In the drawing, Fig. 1 is a top plan view, Fig. 2 is an edge View and Fig. 3 is a magnified fragmentary view of a fabric section embodying my new design in which groups of relatively long loops projecting upward from the base are spaced by groups of relatively short loops or tufts projecting upward from the base, each pair of groups of short loops or tufts having between them a recess or groove.

The actual size of the fabric design varies with the count of the yarns used in its manufacture. The size shown in Fig. 1 of the drawing filed is one actual size of the fabric design, but the reduction of either Fig. 1 or Fig. 3 of the drawing filed to patent size will show approximate actual sizes of the fabric design made with yarns of different count or diameter.
