Abstract

419,159. Slidable mountings for seats &c. HEATH, J., 301, Katherine Road, Forest Gate, London. Sept. 8, 1933, No. 24911. [Class 44.] A slidable mounting for seats, wagon bodies, luggage carriers &c. comprises parallel guides 1 provided with slots 4 adapted to be engaged by parallel flat faces on a pair of sliding bolts 6 pressed into the slots by springs 17. The ends of the bolts have tapered extensions 7 adapted to engage recesses 5 in the slots to lock the seat &c. 9 in position. When the extensions 7 are withdrawn from the recesses 5 by rack and pinion &c. 11, 12, the seat may be adjusted along the guides 1. When the bolts and the extensions are withdrawn from the slots 4, the seat may be lifted out of the guides.
