Abstract
418,058. Insoles or socks for boots &c. SCOTTON, J. C., Hadley, Monks Avenue, New Barnet, Hertfordshire. July 12, 1934, No. 8115. [Class 17 (ii).] A pad 4 of soft resilient material, such as sponge rubber, is inserted in corresponding holes cut in that outer layer 1 of an insole or sock which is to contact with the foot and in an intermediate layer 2 of resilient material such as soft felt or rubber. The layers 1 are of flexible but inelastic material, such as leather, and the upper face of the pad 4 may be covered with a layer of soft material 5, such as roan, the edges of which are secured between the layer 2 and upper outer layer 1. The layer 5 may be perforated for ventilation.
