417,865. Rock drills. AMALGAMATED ANTHRACITE COLLIERIES, Ltd., Eagle Chambers, Swansea, DAVIES, D. R., and DAVIES, J., Ammanford Colliery, Carmarthenshire. April 12, 1933, No. 10949. [Class 124.] A dust-collecting hood for a rock drill has a casing 1 with a projecting arm 1<b> of Venturi form provided with an air jet 2. The end of the casing remote from the rock face is closed by semicircular blocks of rubber surrounding the steel and enclosed in pivoted members 12. A dust tight joint on the lateral face of these blocks is obtained by adjustment of the nut 17.
