417,817. Vehicle wheels. PIRON, E. H., 210, Highland Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Oct. 18, 1933, No. 28886. Convention date, Jan. 9. [Class 144 (i).] A railway wheel comprises rubber cushions 10, 11 held in axial compression, by means of a nut 12, between the fixed and adjustable hub-flanges 8, 9 and a web 6 projecting from the rim 4. The rubber-contacting faces of the parts 6, 8, 9 may be formed with ribs 16, and the rubber mav be vulcanized to these faces. The tyre comprises a guide-flange 23 and metal tread rings 17 embedded between rubber rings 18.
