417,687. Spring suspensions for vehicles. DYSON & CO., Ltd., R. A., and BARKER, S., 76, Grafton Street, Liverpool. July 8, 1933, No. 19380. [Class 108 (ii).] In a motor &c. road vehicle having two pairs of rear wheels 2, 3, the forward rear wheel 2 at each side of the vehicle is carried by a semielliptic spring 4 shackled at its front end to the chassis 1 and directly connected at its rear end to a bifurcated arm 6<a> of a compensating-beam 6 which is centrally pivoted at 7 to a fixed bracket 8 and carries on its other arm 6<a> the axle 19 of the wheel 3. The limbs of the arm 6a have slots 9 carrying slidable lubricating- bushes 12 which act as bearings for a bolt supporting the rear eye of the spring 4. The arm 6b supports operating-mechanism 20 for the rear-wheel brakes.
