[Class 18.] A parcel and goods receiving device for house doors &c. comprises a box divided into compartments H each of which can be brought into register with a door A, the opening of which transmits a sliding motion to the box by a striking plate I on the door releasing a spring catch C on each of the compartments H. Spring actuated pawls D carried by the box engage racks racks F in a frame member G within which the box slides. The pawls and racks are arranged at the back of the sliding box. An audible or visual alarm may be operated upon the opening or closing of the door A.
