Abstract
416,409. Respiratory appliances. MATTHEWS, B. H. C., 10, Hensman's Hill, Clifton, Bristol. Dec. 14, 1932, No. 35417. [Class 81 (ii).] A respiratory appliance, particularly for use at high altitudes and adapted to conserve heat lost from the body during exhalation, comprises an orinasal mask 1 having a securing strap 2 and connected directly to a canister 3, of heat non- conducting material such as that known under the Registered Trade Mark " Paxolin," having a perforated cover 4 and containing a large number, for example 30-50, of layers of metal gauze 5.
