Abstract

416,047. Wireless receiving - sets. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, and LINSELL, A. A., 43, West Hill, Sydenham, both in London. Feb. 7, 1933, No. 3752. [Class 40 (v).] A wireless receiver is capable of operating at will either as a circuit of high sensitivity without great selectivity or as a circuit of high selectivity the switch effecting the change over also altering the tuning of the receiver so that the tuning remains the same for either type of reception. Preferably the valve 1 operates as an high frequency amplifier or a super-regenerative amplifier according as the switch 16, 17, 18 is closed or open. When closed a condenser 19 is connected in circuit to maintain the tuning constant. The condenser 19 may be variable and ganged with condenser 3 Fig. 2 (not shown), and may be in series with condenser 3, Fig. 3 (not shown). Alternatively, the anode potential may be altered, Fig. 4 (not shown).
