Abstract
415,548. Vehicle hoods. SALMONS, G., and SALMONS, A. J., 53, Tickford Street, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire. June 1, 1933, No. 15850. [Class 108 (i).] In vehicle hoods of the kind in which the hood comprises members pivoted between the inner and outer side walls of the body the gap formed between such walls is provided with a closure which is automatically opened as the hood is raised and automatically closed by a spring as the hood is lowered. As shown the gap closure 1 is automatically raised by members 10, 10<a >as the hood is raised and held in open position as shown in Fig. 2. On lowering the hood the members 10, 10<a> recede into the gap 5 and the closure 1 is closed by a spring 7.
