Abstract

415,475. Suspending curtains. SMITH & DAVIS, Ltd., and SMITH, H. F., Hampton Street, Birmingham. Feb. 25, 1933, No. 16676/34. Divided on 413,424. [Class 52 (v).] In curtain runners comprising a U-shaped hanger 10 and two rollers each consisting of a headless pin 14 integral with a single flange 15 at one end, as described in Specification 372,979, the hanger is formed from wire bent at the end of each arm of the U into an eye 11 through which is threaded endwise the pin of one of the rollers, the arrangement being such that the flange of each roller prevents the pin of the other roller leaving the eye. The rollers are mounted in position prior to bending the hanger into its final U-shape and after bending, the hanger is flattened at 13 to remove springiness and prevent it opening in use.
