Abstract
414,436. Straight - bar knitting - machines. HOLLENDEN, G. H. HOPEMORLEY, LORD ; MORLEY, C. H. HOPE-; 18, Wood Street, London, and SMITH, T., (trading as WHYTE & SMITH), Charnwood Road, Shepshed, Leicestershire. Feb. 14, 1933, No. 4448. [Class 74 (ii).] Warp or wale yarns are fed to the needle of a cotton &c. machine from guides A, B which can be moved simultaneously across the needle line and be transversed independently. There are two sets of guides to each division of needles. The guides are disposed on bars D, G, carried on arms E, H mounted on independent shafts F, J. These shafts, extending the length of the machine, are transversed by pattern wheels Q, R acting on slides P. Angular reciprocating movements are imparted to the guides by links F<2>, J<2> acting on arms F<1>, J<1>. The end sections D<1> of the guide bars can be turned up individually out of working position.
