Abstract
412,678. Valve amplifying-circuits. STANDARD RADIO RELAY SERVICES, Ltd., Bush House, Aldwych, and ADORJAN, P., 21, Wetherby Gardens, Earl's Court, both in London. Feb. 10,1933.No.4166. [Class 40 (v).] Two valves 1, 2, Fig. 1, operating in push-pull and at the bottom bend of their characteristics, have the input voltage divided between them proportionally to the inverse of the ratio of their mutual conductances, as by tappings from the grids to resistances 4, 5. In another embodiment, the lead from the grid bias battery 6, Fig. 3, is variably tapped onto a resistance 10 across the input, or the secondary of the transformer 3 may be tapped for connection to the battery 6, Fig. 4 (not shown). In a further embodiment, the secondary of the transformer 3, Fig. 2, is in two halves, each shunted by resistances 4, 5 to which the grids of valves 1, 2 are connected by tappings, while adjacent ends of the secondaries are variably connected to the grid bias source 6. The resistances 4, 5 may be dispensed with by tapping each half of the secondary winding, Fig. 5 (not shown).
