409,599. Preparation of hides and skins for tanning. PERCIABOSCO, F., c /o Arenella Soc. Italiana per la Fabricazione di Acido Citrico ed Affini, Palermo, Italy. Nov. 3, 1933, No. 30613. [Class 76.] Hides and skins are delimed by treatment with citrates or tartrates or vegetable juices containing citric or tartaric acid (e.g. lemon, orange &c. juices), to which alkalis (sodium, potassium and ammonium hydrates have been added. Soluble sulphates or bisulphates may be added to the treating solutions.
