Abstract

408,506. Making bushes for bungholes &c. LINER, J., 3,925, North Albany Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A. Sept. 8, 1933, No. 24921. [Class 83 (ii).] A bush 20 is secured in a bung or like hole by means of a tube 16, one end 18 of which is circular, the other end 17 being octagonal and turned over to embrace an octagonal flange 21 of the bush. The end 18 is turned out over the edge of the hole and is recessed at 19 to take a gasket 26, the bung 27 screwing into the bush and contacting the gasket. The tube 16, the inner edge of which is notched, is first secured to the bush and then inserted into and secured within the opening.
