408,114. Driving-gear. MILLER, L. N., 221, West Jackson Street, Elkhart, Indiana, U.S.A. June 22, 1933, No. 17833. [Class 7 (ii).] In a four-stroke engine, to produce less cylinder clearance at the end of the exhaust stroke than at the end of the compression stroke, the connecting rod 3 is connected to a lever 9, mounted on the crank pin 11, and pivoted to a link 7 sus pended from an eccentric 6 on the cam shaft 5.
