Abstract
405,152. Road-traffic signals on vehicles. PAGE, E. R., 35, Thornbury Road, Isleworth, Middlesex. May 4, 1933, No. 12993. [Class 118 (ii).] A signalling device for road vehicles comprises a frame F with a supporting arm 2 secured to the front face 10 and a driving mirror 15 secured to the rear face. A lamp for illuminating the semaphore arm 12, which is pivoted at 13 to the frame and may be operated by a solenoid or Bowden cable, is arranged externally to the frame. In the form shown the lamp is contained in a casing 20 secured to the front of the frame and provided with a glass-covered aperture 21 through which the light is directed by a lens on to the front of the arm.
