Abstract
403,697. Brackets. BEARDMORE, J. D. K., 22, Glenhurst Avenue, and CATESBY, T. W., 30, Harrington Square, both in London. June 29, 1932, No. 18383. [Class 52 (v).] In adjustable bracket fittings of the type comprising a strip or bar of channel section attached to a wall or other surface with the channelled side facing the wall and provided with a series of slots 1 in the web into any one of which a lug or ear 2 on the bracket or hook 3 may be entered edgewise and then pivoted so as to be held by the weight of the bracket against the rear face of the bar, the bar is moulded, e.g. drawn or extruded, to shape with broad low flanges 5 of a height approximately equal to the thickness of the web portion 4 and a breadth approximately twice such thickness. The slots 1 may be disposed transversely as shown, or longitudinally when the bar is to be arranged horizontally on the wall. Countersunk holes 6 are provided for fixing the bar to the wall.
