Abstract

361,068. Brackets ; shelves ; stands. PARNALL & SONS, Ltd., Soho Foundry, Birmingham, and GABB, A. H., 67, Lodge Causeway, Fishponds, Bristol. Oct. 16, 1930, No. 30953. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (v).] A shelf or rack 7 has brackets hinged thereto by which the shelf &c. is supported on uprights, at any desired level, with the shelf in either of two positions. In the construction shown brackets 8 are hinged to the ends of a rack 7 so that they can be turned at right-angles to the rack and engaged with uprights 6 to support the rack in a horizontal position. The inner end of each bracket is formed with a recess 8c and a projection 8d to engage one of a series of attaching means, each consisting of a recess 6a and a slot 6b formed in the uprights. The rack is supported in a vertical position by turning the brackets so that they lie against the underside of the shelf, the brackets being formed with hooks 8b to engage the recesses 6a. The uprights may be connected by transverse bars and one upright rotatably mounted so that the whole structure can be swung towards or away from a shop window.
