Abstract

402,706. Pencil and like holders and point-protectors. VOELK, O., 50, Nurnbergerstrasse, and BOENECKE, A., 16, Hohenlohe Strasse, both in Berlin. July 19, 1933, No. 20426. Convention date, Dec. 17, 1932. [Class 146 (iii).] In a case for a pencil, eraser, &c., comprising a cup 8 of cruciform shape to hold the article 3 and a flexible tape 4 of celluloid, hard paper, steel, &c. which is attached by one end to the cup 8 so that, when the band is moved, it uncovers an aperture in the case and causes the article to project therethrough, the case is constructed in two equal parts 1 each formed with a groove 7 constituting a guide for the tape 4. The two parts 1 are produced from pressed material and they are held together by a cap 2. Further grooves 11 serve to guide the cup in its up-anddown motion. An operating knob 5 on the tape moves in a slot in the side of the case.
