Abstract

402,146. Electric immersion heaters. SANTON, Ltd. and SANDERS, H. C., Somerton Works, Newport, Monmouthshire. May 8, 1933, No. 13192/32. [Class 39 (iii).] A domestic water heater with electric heating means, a mixing head, and a shower spray nozzle is provided also with an automatic cutout operative at a predetermined temperature. A small tank 4 is fitted with a V-shaped cold water inlet pipe 5 with perforations at its lower part 6, and heating-elements 7 of the kind described in Specification 313,691, [Class 37, Electricity, Measuring &c.], are provided. A thermostatic switch 9, which may be of the type described in Specification 320,360, [Class 38 (v), Electric switches &c.], is mounted at one end of the tank in a recess 8, and a pilot lamp 10 may be included. The water supply pipe 11 extends into a mixing head 13 which is connected by flexible tubing to the spray nozzle.
