Abstract
401,249. Gas meters. PINTSCH AKT.-GES., J., 71, Andreasstrasse, Berlin. Aug. 8, 1933, No. 22205. Convention date, April 21. Addition to 352,083 and 399,135. [Class 54.] In a gas meter having valve reversing mechanism according to Specification 399,135, the gland provided where the spindle operated by the meter diaphragm passes through the gas chamber wall is relieved from the varying load due to the pressure of the spring d operating the valve-reversing lever 1 by making the parts b<11> of the spindle passing through the wall separate from the part b<1> carrying the bush g of the snap member a. The part b<11> carries a lever k operating by a pin l<1> the bush g and by a link f a lever e. The lever e is attached by the spring d to the lever 1 which carries a snap member 5 co-operating with the snap member a to control the valve operation. The parts b<1>, b<11> are mounted in bearings h, i, the part b<11> being provided with a knife-edged collar o which is pressed by a spring m against a leather or felt sealing disc p on the gas chamber wall.
