399,000. Making tubular articles such as parts of artificial limbs. HANGER & CO., Ltd., J. E. and SWAIN, J. A., Roehampton House, Roehampton Lane, London. Aug. 12, 1932, No. 22651. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv).] Sheet metal or tube, e.g. artificial limbs, can be expanded locally by working it between rolls 3 and 9, the latter having a resilient tyre 10 or being spring mounted. A handle 11 drives the roll 9. The tyre can be removed, or substituted for planishing the work. A screw 12 effects pass adjustment, and the pressure exerted on the work, the lever 5 being pivoted at 6.
