Abstract
398,347. Heating water. ANDERSEN, O. C., 1, Titangade, Copenhagen. Sept. 22, 1932, No. 26364. [Class 64 (i).] In a domestic hot-water supply system with a storage tank 1 heated by indirect contact with hot water or steam circulated in a jacket 2 from a boiler 3, cold water for the tank 1 is led first through a coil or the like 8 heated by indirect contact with water circulated in a supplementary heater 7 direct from the boiler 3. Pipes 4, 10 connect the heater 7 in parallel with the jacket 2, which is connected to the boiler by pipes 4, 5. Cold water enters by a pipe 9 and passes in part directly through a tap 121 and in part through the heater 7 and a pipe 6 to the tank 1. The pipe 6 may be branched to supply several tanks 1. The boiler water may circulate in the coil 8 and cold water pass through the tank 7.
