Abstract

398,298. Vehicle suspensions. NETAL, H., 4, Rennweg, and TRAGER, L., 94, Treustrasse, both in Vienna. June 2, 1932, No. 15703. [Class 108 (ii).] In a motor vehicle, hollow blocks 1 secured to the ends of a tube 2 to form a frame unit, are identical in form so as to be interchangeable and to enable differential gearing &c. to be mounted in either block for front or rear wheel drive through articulated half-axles and independentlysprung wheels. Each block is formed with top and bottom edge recesses wherein are seated transverse springs 4 secured in position by bridge-pieces 1<1>, the free ends of the springs carrying wheel supports 6 hingedly mounted by pins 8. Transverse girders 5 secured to the upper surfaces of the blocks carry the body part.
