Abstract

397,498. Knitting. BRINTON CO., H., 3700, Kensington Avenue, Frankford, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Feb. 23, 1932, No. 5422. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1931. [Class 74 (ii).] A rib knitted fabric, hose or half hose has patterned portions comprising tuck stitches or openwork 36 combined with warp or wale yarns 34, 35. As applied to rib knitted hose, the open work may be produced bv the cylinder needles only, and a welt patterned by warp yarns may be provided. The warp yarn patterning may be effected as in Specification 395,684, and the needle-selecting means for tucking may be that of Specification 267,876, [Class 74 (ii), Knitting &c.].
