Abstract

397,073. Spray carburetters. SOC. ANON. SOLEX, 190, Avenue de Neuilly, Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. April 18, 1933, No. 11306. Convention date, June 9, 1932. [Class 7 (iii).] In a fuel-supply system including a main carburetter and a " starter " carburetter as described in Specification 357,310, the throttle of the main carburetter is returned to the closed position during operation of the starter carburetter but is free to follow the influence of a speed governor when the starter carburetter is out of action. A pin 16 on an arm 15 on the spindle of the throttle 8 engages in a slot 17 in a disc provided with an aperture 12 adapted to be brought into register with an opening 19 in the induction pipe for the passage of mixture from the starter carburetter when it is in use. The slot 17 allows freedom for the operation of the throttle 8, but when the starter carburetter is brought into operation, the end of the slot engages the pin to close the throttle. On release of the pin by the end of the slot 17, the speed governor resumes control of the throttle.
