[Class 37.] A spark-plug tester comprises a luminescent tube 2 supported by springs 6 in an insulating casing 1 provided with a viewing window 3, the casing also having a passage 8 for the ignition lead which passes therethrough to an eyepiece 4. The tube 2 may be insulated from the eye-piece 4 by a plate 7 or may be connected thereto by the spring 6. The farther end of the tube is connected by spring 6 to a screw 5 which may be interconnected with similar screws of other testers in a multi-cylindered engine.
