[Class 142 (iv).] In creels for warps and of the type wherein the yarn packages such as spools A, Fig. 2, are movable from their. normal yarn delivering position to a doffing position, the spools are supported by bent wire carriers 14, 16, 17 having trunnions 15 fitting in bearing holes 13 in brackets 6, 7 clamped at 9 to the upstanding tubes &c. 3 of the creel. Each bracket supports two carriers and two spools with connected yarns. The parts 14 intersect when the carriers are in working position thus economizing space, whilst each carrier can be swung into doffing position as shown in full lines in Fig. 4, over lugs 12, Fig. 5, into notches 12a formed between the lugs 12 and stops 11a on the brackets. The yarns from the spools pass between two superposed discs 23 guided by pins 24 on the brackets 7, then around a pulley 20 rotating on a spindle 19 and braked by a. weighted disc pressing it against a non- revolvable support. The spindle 19 is pivoted to rock to a limited extent on a depending leg on a plate on the arm 7. Either one or two tension devices may be used for each two spools &c.
