Abstract
392,551. Fringing wrappers. ROSE. A. G. and ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd., Albion Works, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Nov. 17, 1931, No. 31776. [Class 31 (i).] In a device for fringing a wrapper 10 intermittently fed over a bed 12, co-operating blades 15 pivoted on rods 16 are operated by cams 25 to fringe the web with a scissor-like action. The blades are urged in shearing contact by a spring 59. In a modification, the web is constantly fed and the cutters are mounted on a carriage reciprocated by a cam. In a further modification, ! separate wrappers are fed to the fringing cutters by projections on a chain. In this construction, pressure fingers are actuated by the cams 25.
