Abstract
392,064. Tank vehicles. FOWLER & CO. (LEEDS), Ltd., J. and HASSON, P. R., Steam Plough & Locomotive Works, Hunslet, Leeds. Oct. 8, 1932, No. 28112. [Class 108 (i).] A gulley-emptying apparatus is formed as a unit comprising a tank with vacuum pump and power unit for driving the latter so that the unit may be mounted on any suitable vehicle whether power driven or not. As shown, the tank a of known kind comprising a refuse chamber b with suction pipe c, a vacuum chamber d, water chamber e and refuse water chamber f is mounted on a frame i together with its pump g and power unit enclosed in a casing g<1> and the frame i is secured to a suitable chassis j. The tank a may be adapted to be tipped about a pivot k on the frame i or the frame i with its associated parts may be mounted so as to tip on the chassis frame j.
