[Class 69 (ii).] The reversal of the distributing valve E of a liquidmeter initiated by the measuring piston B at the end of its stroke is retarded by the provision of a damping member 102 and/or a pin 101 acted on by a spring 104 and the pressure in the supply pipe H. The distributing valve is so formed that it completely closes the supply and/or discharge conduit during the retardation.
