[Class 52 (ii).] A glider seat, settee, &c. is mounted on antifriction supports 20 engaging track rails 21, resilient connection between the seat and the rails consisting of tensioning means 31, 32 on each side of the seat being provided for yieldably maintaining the seat at a predetermined position on the rails. As shown, the seat frame is formed of two side frames each comprising front and rear legs 5, 4 and a side member 6, all preferably made of spring metal bars, secured together by bolts 7, the legs being connected by a bar 17. The side frames are connected by bars 9, 13 and nuts 10, 12, and a canvas seat 15 is secured between them. A cushion 16 maybe placed on the seat. Brackets 18 are secured to the bars 17 and carry wheels 20 which may have tyres of fibre, rubber, or other suitable non-metallic material. The wheels 20 rest on rails 21 which are secured to base bars 22 and have at the rear stops 21a with rubber or other cushioning blocks. Brackets 23 secured to the front ends of the rails carry a foot rail 26. Springs 31, 32 hooked at one end to extensions of the nuts 10 and at the other end to ears 33, 34 attached to the rails tend normally to retain the seat in a given position on the rails. The seat may be of the flexible construction described in Specification 390,661.
