Abstract
389,544. Screw-stopper removers. CARTER, F. H., 47, Derby Road, Weaste, Manchester. June 29, 1932, No. 27302/31. [Class 61 (iii).] A hand tool for releasing or tightening screwed bottle stoppers, of the type employing a ring-part 1, for passing about the stopper, and an L-shaped lever 4, pivoted at 3, the toepiece 5 of which can be brought to bear against the stopper, is characterized in the provision of an arm 8 projecting from the ring-part 1 to serve the purpose of a finger grip. The ring-part 1 and toe-piece 5 are preferably roughened at 2 and 6 respectively and a crown-cork remover may be provided at 13.
