Abstract

388,708. Luggage-carriers. HERCULES CYCLE & MOTOR CO., Ltd. and CRANE, H. A., Rocky Lane, Aston, Birmingham. Oct. 27, 1932, No. 30095. Addition to 383,479. [Class 136 (i).] In order to increase the rigidity of a carrier formed in two or more detachable sections as described in the parent Specification, auxiliary supporting-members are provided between one section of the carrier and the attachment means for another section to form one or more triangulated structures. As shown, two inclined stays l extend between lugs or clips on the rear member of the upper frame a and the boss to which the lower supporting-tubes fare connected, the flattened lower ends of the stays being secured to the boss by the same bolts which hold the tubes f. In a modification, the stays l are replaced by inclined tension members extending between lugs or clips on the tubes f and the boss to which the tubes b are connected.
